No card details, no deposit, nothing to pay. The demo runs the same engine (v1.6.1.8) with virtual credits β€” identical RNG, identical maths. No registration, no spin limit, no timer. Figure out the free spins trigger and the fisherman catch mechanic before you risk a penny.

There's nothing obviously special about Fishin' Frenzy β€” 5 reels, 10 lines, straightforward free spins where a fisherman catches fish for cash prizes. Yet this 2014 release from Reel Time Gaming became such a UK phenomenon that it's spawned eight sequels, each layering on Megaways engines, Fortune Play mechanics, and increasingly baroque variations. The original remains stubbornly popular a decade on. What it does is execute a single concept with unusual clarity: in the bonus, every fisherman symbol collects every fish value on screen, turning a simple visual metaphor into transparent maths you can actually track. No cascades, no mystery modifiers, no feature-within-feature complexity β€” just fishing that works like fishing should.

How to Play

Fishin' Frenzy uses a clean, straightforward control layout typical of RTG slots.

1

Setting Your Bet

Look for the coins button on the right sidebar (or TOTAL BET). Click to open the betting menu with stakes from Β£0.10 to Β£100. All 10 paylines are always active, so you're selecting total bet rather than configuring lines and bet-per-line separately.

Some versions let you adjust lines (1–10) and bet per line independently. If you see "SELECT LINES" and "SELECT BET", set lines first, then bet per line. Your total stake displays clearly before each spin.

2

Spinning the Reels

Press the circular arrow to spin. Reels stop left to right. Press again mid-spin (it becomes a fast-forward icon) to stop them immediately β€” this doesn't affect the outcome, just speeds up the reveal.

3

Using Autoplay

The circular arrows button (marked "C") opens autoplay. Pick 10, 25, 50, or 100 spins. The game counts down remaining spins on the button itself.

Note: Autoplay stops when you trigger free spins, hit a loss limit, or press the stop button. Resume by pressing spin again.

Quick Reference

Right sidebar houses three controls top to bottom: refresh, autoplay, bet menu. Wins highlight automatically on the reels, and the paytable is accessible through the menu at any time.

Symbols & Payouts

Wins form left to right on consecutive reels across 10 paylines. Payouts are per bet-per-line:

The Pelican is the top payer in the base game and the only symbol that pays from just two matches.

Wild β€” The Fisherman

Fisherman Wild

The Fisherman only appears during Free Games β€” never in the base game. When he lands he substitutes for everything except the Boat scatter.

His real job is catching fish: every Fisherman on screen collects the value of every visible Fish symbol. More on this in the bonus section below.

Scatter β€” The Boat

Boat Scatter

The Boat (marked "SCATTER") doesn't pay credits. Instead, three or more anywhere on the reels trigger the Free Games feature.

Fish Symbols

Fish values

Fish carry monetary values: 20, 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, or 500. They do nothing in the base game β€” they only matter during Free Games when the Fisherman is around to catch them.

Free Games Feature

Free Games Feature

Land three, four, or five Boat scatters anywhere to trigger Free Games:

During free spins the Fisherman Wild starts appearing. Every time one lands, he collects the prize value from every Fish currently visible on screen. If Fish show 100, 250, and 50 and a Fisherman lands β€” you win 400. Two Fishermen on the same spin? Each collects from all Fish, so that 400 gets counted twice.

The Fisherman also forms his own winning combinations:

FishermenPayout

4500
3100
210

He still substitutes for all regular symbols (except the Boat) during the feature. One limitation: Free Games can't retrigger β€” landing more Boats during the feature won't add spins. The feature runs at the same bet and line count as the triggering spin.

About Reel Time Gaming

One strategy defines this provider: find what works, then squeeze every variation from it. Fishin' Frenzy launched in 2014 and spawned ten sequels. Eye of Horus got the same treatment β€” Megaways, Jackpot King, Power Spins. They're franchise builders who adopt trending mechanics rather than chasing innovation.
